ALOR SETAR - A MalayÂsian businessman was shot dead near Ban Khlong Pom in KanchaÂnaÂwanit along the Sadao-Hatyai Road in southern Thailand, about 45km from the Malaysian-Thai border.
The incident occurred at about noon (1pm Malaysian time) yesterday when Lee Ah Han, 54, was driving his Thai-registered car to the Hat Yai airport, some 20km away.
Two gunmen in a car fired a number of shots, believed to be from a M-16 rifle, and killed him in the driver's seat.
